What is the difference between Smorgasbord VS Buffet
Let’s clear up the controversy. Sometimes you’ll see Smorgasbord, other times you see buffet. Are they the same? To make things more complicated the answer is no, they are not the same. Think of it like this a smorgasbord of food is laid out on a buffet. When a restaurant says they have a buffet or a smorgasbord both will mean the same thing. You pay a flat fee for an all you can eat food bar.
Amish Restaurants in Lancaster County PA
It’s true, comfort food does carry a lot of carbohydrates but you will be eating healthy. The meals are made with ingredients that come straight from the local farms in the area so you’ll be getting foods that are fresh, without preservatives [Farm to Table] then made from scratch.
If you make your stop at an Amish diner, I will suggest trying out the Amish staples like Chicken Pot-Pie or Chicken corn soup.
Amish Buffet in Lancaster PA
It’s no Secret that Lancaster has the best buffet Pennsylvania. Some are more like an adventure than a meal.
Like I said, I love food so I prefer the buffets, I’m like a kid in a candy store, “what to pick, what to pick, oh the struggles!” It’s like a treat. Limiting choices to a menu is not nearly as fun. Menu’s are not healthy they can bring remorse if you pick the wrong thing.
Growing up in Pennsylvania with a German and Mennonite heritage, Amish food clearly reminds me of true home cooking. You might even say I’m a little bias but I’d prefer to look at it as, I’m a bit of an expert.
